Kommeno Weather

Located just 12km south of Corfu Town, the quiet village of Kommeno enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. With an average summer temperature of 29C and as much as 12 hours of daily sunshine, conditions in Kommeno are ideal for a relaxing beach holiday.

 

The tourist season in Kommeno runs from May to October, with the beginning and end of the season being a good time to beat both the heat and the crowds. May sees average daily highs of 23C and 9 hours of sunshine, together with 47mm of rainfall, with these spring days great for exploring and touring the coast and countryside inland, when the island is in bloom. June heats up to 28C, with 11 hours of daily sunshine, and the weather becomes drier, with Kommeno seeing 19mm of rain. The beach begins to get busier, and the sea temperature hovers around 22C at this time, with a slight increase in humidity. By July and August, the peak season months, Kommeno is basking in 31C weather and enjoying 12 hours of sunshine each day, and the resort is experiencing very humid conditions, with visitors able to cool off on the beaches and relax in the 25C waters. Night-time temperature in the resort reach 18C, meaning warm evenings outside having leisurely drinks and dinners.        

 

September remains warm in Kommeno, with highs of 27C and 9 hours of daily sunshine, however the weather is a little wetter, with 74mm of rainfall. By October the season is winding down, with the resort seeing average daily temperatures hover around 22C, and the sun shining for 9 hours. October is much wetter, with 147mm of rainfall, and the winters remain very rainy, receiving 207mm each month. Temperatures are mild, with the low season months not dropping below 13C.
