The tourist season in Aghios Georgios begins in May, when the island is in bloom and the weather is warm but a little changeable. May temperatures reach 23C with 9 hours of sunshine, and there is 47mm of spring rainfall, with this early season weather good for walking holidays and hiking in the lush countryside, and exploring the island before it gets too hot and humid. June heats up to 28C, with the sun shining for 11 hours each day, and during this month the long sandy beach here begins to fill up with visitors.
