Aghios Georgios (South Corfu) Things to Do
Beach
The long Blue Flag beach here stretches for 6 miles along the coast, and offers golden sands and safe shallow waters for swimming. It is divided into two sections, with the south area being the busiest, and has sand dunes and a lake for added interest, as well as a host of hidden coves to discover.
Water Sports
Water sports include pedalos, jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkelling, scuba diving and paragliding, with boat rental and boat trips available. Perfect conditions for a diving holiday.

Hotels here have swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball, table tennis and basketball, and the resort has bikes and motorbikes to rent, as well as horse riding locally.
Walking & Hiking
The terrain inland boasts lush olive groves and cypress trees, ideal for exploring on foot, with visitors able to head to the traditional Greek village of Argirades, or the nature reserve at Lake Korrision - ideal for wildlife and bird-watching.
Entertainment
Aghios Georgios is home to plenty of tavernas and restaurants, serving mainly traditional Greek food, and a range of bars, some playing music and offering karaoke and quiz nights, with a couple of discos. Hotels offer entertainment programmes, such as themed evenings and there are Greek Nights available featuring authentic music, dancing and food.
Day Trips
If you are on a holiday in Aghios Georgios and want to travel around, buses depart reguarly from Aghios Georgios to Corfu Town, where there's excellent shopping, dining and sightseeing, and visitors can take a short taxi ride to Kavos for a complete change of scene and some very lively nightlife. Local sights include the Byzantine Gardiki fort, with other regions on the west coast to see including Mirtiotissa Beach, Glyfada and the inland village of Pelekas.
