St Florent Things To Do

St. Florent sits in a sheltered bay backed by scenic wooded hills, and boasts a number of family-friendly beaches, all with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

The elegant marina has a cosmopolitan air, thanks to the many luxury yachts and the numerous charming quayside bars and cafes lining the waterfront. Boat trips depart from here and take visitors to deserted coves and beauty spots, including the stunning beaches at Loto and Saleccia (only accessible by boat), and the desolate Desert des Agriates.

 

Scuba-diving, sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, sea-scooters, canoeing, kayaking and paragliding can all be enjoyed on a holiday in St. Florent.

As well as tennis, swimming and horse riding, adventurous visitors can try quad biking, climbing and hang-gliding, with 4x4 trips, rafting and canoeing available from Bastia.

 

St. Florent is an ideal starting point for many walks and hikes, especially along the coastal paths that offer dramatic views and breathtaking scenery. The wooded hills are home to a number of trails that lead through the spectacular countryside, and pass the many vineyards and olive groves.

 

The mountainous terrain in North Corsica is a major draw for avid cyclists, with a wealth of trails and paths best suited to more experienced riders.   

 

St Florent has a picturesque Old Town to explore, home to a traditional village square, cobbled streets, historic houses and quaint shops and cafes, with the 15th-century Citadel being the main attraction here.

The resort is ideally placed to tour the Cap Corse and its dramatic coastline, picturesque fishing villages and charming ports, whilst the commercial centre of Bastia, the second largest town on Corsica, is busy and bustling, and an interesting day trip. Patrimonio is well-known as a major wine producing region, with visitors able to follow the Route des Vins through the vineyards and sample local vintages.
