Visitors to Sisco can also travel just 4 km to Pietracorbara, one of the few sandy beaches in Cap Corse, and a firm favourite amongst the locals.
Tour the Cap Corse peninsula
Sisco offers a great base from which visitors can explore the entire Cap Corse peninsula, taking in the wild mountain ranges, vine-covered hills and rugged cliffs dotted with beaches and coves. The trip takes a whole day, and passes through many scenic ports and villages. Whilst enjoying a holiday in Sisco, don't miss a trip to the artists' village of Erbalunga, an enchanting fishing port full of charm and tradition just 6km along the coast and a popular tourist spot on the eastern Cap Corse. The colourful St. Florent, with its vibrant harbourfront and wonderful sandy beach is an interesting day trip from the village of Sisco, as are the sophisticated Calvi, and the bustling port of Bastia. From Sisco you also have the chance to tour the vineyards of Cap Corse and sample some of the island's most highly rated wines.
Weather in Sisco
The climate in Sisco will be ideal for holidaymakers who are looking for guaranteed sunshine during their summer holidays. May to October is considered the summer season and the weather in Sisco will be perfect for either lazing on the beach or exploring the Cap Corse countryside. Temperatures in Sisco will rise over 25C from mid May with July and August bringing the high 30C temperatures. The beaches at nearby Pietracorbara will be the place to spend long days swimming in the warm 22C Mediterranean Sea waters. The summer evenings in Sisco will also be warm at around 18C; perfect for enjoying leisurely dinners in the warm night air.
