Santa Giulia Things To Do

Beaches
The Corsican beaches of Palombaggia and Santa Giulia are thought by many to be the most beautiful on the island. Quite rightly so, they’re absolutely stunning. Santa Giulia beach is made of lovely, fine, very pale sand and can get extremely crowded in the high season. The shallow seas mean that this beach is very safe for kids, even little ones, to play in the water.

Shopping and Eating Out
There’s a decent choice of shops selling everything you could possibly need for a beach and watersports holiday at Santa Giulia. And there are also plenty of restaurants, cafes and snack bars in the immediate vicinity. See those thickly wooded hills? That’s where wild boar live. They might look fierce but they taste delicious, a mouth watering local speciality that you can pick up in Santa Giulia’s eateries.

Water Sports Centre
Santa Giulia’s sweeping crescent of a bay with a stunning background of green hills is an idyllic environment for the island’s wildest and best water sports centre. Water sports run full on between June and mid September. Pick and choose from things like waterskiing, snorkelling, diving, boating, or surfing. There is practically any popular water sport imaginable.

Ancient History
Santa Giulia’s rock solid Genoese tower dates right back to the late 1400s and it’s the biggest on the island. This is a great place to chill out after the beach. Visit the citadel and the various interesting local museums.

Corsica’s Mountainous Heart
If you run out of energy for the beach and water sports, hire a car or book yourself a trip and head for the hills! Corsica’s mountainous middle is just as stunning as its coast, and close enough to base on the beach at Santa Giulia for rock ‘n’ roll. Once you’re there you can go walking or hiking or take a guided tour to explore the fantastic dramatic countryside.

Vineyards
Many of the vineyards in Corcica are open for tourist business, and there are loads of vineyard tours to choose from. Sample typical Corsican rosé wines – pure south of France sunshine in a bottle.

Scenic Boat and Train Trips
Join a guided boat trip from nearby Bonifacio and explore the wonderful southern coastline from a different perspective with the sea breeze in your hair. Or take the mini-train from Calvi to L’Ile Rousse and enjoy some gorgeous scenery along the way.
