The best time to experience summer temperatures in Piana is between the months of May and October, with the mercury rising to between 28C and an impressive 39C in August. The man-made granite sculptures, the "calanches", are best visited on clear sunny days as the shadows cast by the rocks can depict myriad images. Then there's the beautiful view over the gulf and the backdrop of Monte Cinto's snow capped peaks, which provide some gorgeous photo opportunities.
