Cap Corse Holidays

An area scattered with dramatic cliffs and charming villages
Cap Corse is 40km long by 10km wide and is home to a number of villages such as Miomo and Erbalunga. Erbalunga was at one time the most important harbour on Cap Corse, and the houses that currently occupy the village are proof to the former riches of the town. Cars are not allowed into the town, and this creates a peacefulness which is truly relaxing. Another village to visit is that of San Martino di Lota, a hilltop town that is said to be one of the most picturesque in the area.

Isolated until the mid 19th century
Until Napolean III built the Corniche road that circles Cap Corse, it was only realistically accessible by sea. This adds to its expression of being the Corsica of yesteryear. The whole of Cap Corse is dramatic, from the vast famous black beach set against the deep blue of the sea, to the soaring cliff, and narrow streets of Nonza. Cap Corse is an entertaining place to spend some time.

A unique part of Corsica
The ‘Cap’ of Corsica is individual in that it is almost another island. It protrudes far into the ocean out from Corsica and provides one of the island's most breathtaking areas. On the west of Cap Corse, narrow roads wind above a theatrically perforated coastline, and with enchanting villages that cling doggedly to the steep slopes, that contain churches and elegant mansions that contrast delightfully to the simple slate roofed cottages and tranquil landscape. Cap Corse is a spectular part of Corsica that should be visited on any package holiday to the island. Late deals and offers are often available to Corsica, and Cap Corse is a region that need not be missed.
