April and May sees pleasant warm weather in Bocca dell'Oro, with an average temperature of 14C -16C, and the sun shining for 7 - 9 hours each day. The temperatures start to rise in June, reaching an average of 20C, and by July and August the average temperature is 24C, sometimes rising as high as 32C, with a brilliant 11 hours of sunshine each day. The local beaches of the south are a major attraction during this time, with the warm waters of the Mediterranean, which reach 23C during the peak season months, being ideal for swimming and water sports. Days during the summer are generally dry, seeing very limited rainfall in July and August and a maximum of 6 days of rain in June and September.
