Weather in Patong Beach - Tropical climate on Phuket's main beach
Patong Beach is the most famous beach in Phuket, located on the island's west coast.  it experiences a typically-tropical climate with year-round warm weather. The weather is affected by the regional monsoons that blow through the area, with the best time to visit Patong Beach being the dry northeast monsoon season, which runs from November to March. Temperatures do not fluctuate that much during the year; however humidity and level of rainfall do change dramatically.
 
Patong Beach Weather - Experiences two distinct monsoon seasons
The average temperature during the peak season winter period is a very warm 32C, with a constant 8 - 9 hours of sunshine each day and lots of blue skies. The humidity level is at its lowest, with November to January the most comfortable time, and there are plenty of coastal breezes along the beach that help to temper the heat. The night-time temperature is around 23C - 24C, with this hot weather great for touring the bars, evening strolls on the beach and dining outside. Rainfall is very limited during the winter, with each month receiving between 29mm - 60mm of rain, rising to 140mm in April. The sea temperature stays around 28C during the winter season, providing ideal conditions for swimming, water sports and boat trips.  
 
Weather in Patong Beach - Hot humid conditions during the rainy summer months
The southwest monsoon runs from April to September, with the spring seeing the onset of the very hot weather and intense humidity levels. April and May receive the hottest weather in Patong Beach, with highs of 33C, and the resort is hit by southwestern winds full of moisture. By May the resort is experiencing its wettest weather, seeing 350mm of rain, with the following summer months receiving 265mm each until September - another very wet month seeing almost 400mm of rain. These wet days still feature some sunshine, around 5 - 6 hours each day, with the heavy rain usually falling each afternoon. Humidity begins to decrease at the end of September, and by October the resort is looking ahead to the dry northeast monsoon winds.
