Q: What is the ESTA requirement for US destinations?
A: The following statement can be found on the ESTA website. "All passengers travelling under the Visa Waiver Program to the United States are required to have an approved travel authorization prior to travelling to the United States by air or sea. Even non-ticketed infants are required to have approved travel authorization, if they do not have a visa for travel to the United States. An application may be submitted by a third party on behalf of a Visa Waiver Program traveller."

The US government website details who is considered eligible to complete the form along with a comprehensive question and answers section. There will be a small charge requested by the US government, on a per person basis, collected during their own online process. Unless revoked, your ESTA details will be valid for two years. If eligible then you will need to complete the ESTA process, if you have not already done so, a minimum of 72 hours prior to your next departure from the U.K. to the US. The above information may be subject to change by the US Government, and we do recommend that you visit their website for the most up to date practices and advise regarding ESTA.
