General Things To Do Weather

Eilat - Explore the coral treasures of the Red Sea
Eilat is Israel’s fascinating, sun-drenched holiday oasis, situated south of the Negev Desert at a point on the southern-most tip of the country. Here you are in sight of four countries - Israel itself, Egypt to the west, Jordan to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south. A holiday in Eilat provides beach relaxation in sunny, exotic surrounding, and the chance to snorkel and scuba dive around some of the best coral and most colourful  fish in the world. Eilat airport is on the outskirts of the city making your arrival quick and easy. Jerusalem is 300 km north of Eilat.

Eilat - great scenery, beaches and family activities
Eilat is surrounded by sandy beaches which are well equipped with cafes, sun beds and umbrellas. Staying in one of the many good quality, purpose-built hotels in Eilat, you and your family can enjoy spectacular views across the Red Sea and towards the pink mountains of Jordan that seem to glow as the sun sets. A visit to Eilat would not be complete without a jeep trip into the desert, a glass-bottomed boat trip to admire the excellent marine life, or a visit to one of Eilat’s underwater nature reserves. You can even swim with dolphins at nearby Dolphin Reef.

Eilat - ancient history behind modern comfort
Eilat has all the trappings of a cosmopolitan, modern resort but actually dates back to the biblical times of King Solomon. Eilat was also a pivotal port for the Romans and the Byzantine rules that followed, due to its ideal position in the heart of the Middle East. After the second world war Eilat was awarded to the Jewish people, under the 1947 UN Partition Plan and since then has developed into a prime beach resort. Today Eilat provides beautiful coastal scenery, the chance to take part in watersports and enjoy the excellent accommodation and nightlife that Eilat has to offer.

Eilat - Middle Eastern delights for all the family
Eilat benefits from all year round sun and a pleasant sea temperature of between 20 and 26C. The hottest, driest months are July and August but gentle winds blowing along the Arava Valley to the north east, can have a cooling effect.
