Dunas Mirador, Gran Canaria

The Dunas Mirador Maspalomas certainly has the wow factor. Three lagoon-style swimming pools, dotted with islands and linked to one another by curving wooden bridges are surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation and swaying palm trees. The complex really does look like a tropical paradise – and that’s just the pool area. This hotel boasts a huge array of facilities, including excellent health spa amenities such as a Jacuzzi, fitness room and massage therapy. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean.

 

The Dunas Mirador Maspalomas is located in Sonnenland - a district of Playa del Inglés situated on a hillside above Maspalomas. The complex is around 2km from the bars, restaurants and shops of Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles resort centre. Maspalomas beach is approximately 1km away, and the hotel runs a courtesy shuttle beach there and to the Faro Shopping Centre. The beach here is regarded the best 4-mile stretch on the island. As well as the undulating sand-dunes for which the resort is famous, there are a variety of attractions in the area including the Aquapark, a theme park based on an ancient Canarian village, the Holiday World amusement park, a zoo and an aquarium.

 

Accommodation at the complex consists of 437 rooms set across 6 attractive buildings, built in traditional Spanish style. Five of the rooms are disabled-accessible. Rooms are contemporary and comfortable, with modern fittings and furnishings. Rooms sleep up to 4 people (either 3 adults or 2 adult and 2 children), and come with a twin or double bedroom, living area with sofa bed and extra bed. All rooms have satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box, hairdryer, air conditioning, full bathroom with WC and balcony or terrace.

 

There are an excellent range of facilities at the Dunas Mirador Maspalomas. Three attractive outdoor, lagoon style swimming pools, including a children’s pool, provide a refreshing dip for those lounging around the sun terraces. Two pool bars provide refreshments throughout the day. There is also a disco bar, pub with satellite TV and cocktail bar, where evening entertainment is put on 6 times a week, including live music, live shows and quizzes. For the kids, there is a hotel-run Kids Club for ages 4-12, a playground and an evening mini-disco. Relaxation facilities include a Jacuzzi and massage therapies, while there is also an on-site gym. Guests can make use of 2 tennis courts, table tennis and billiards tables, and table football. Other facilities include a 24 hour reception, laundry service, care hire rental, supermarket and internet facilities.

Board: Guests can choose between room-only, half board or all-inclusive options.

 

Children: Children are well provided for here, with a children’s pool, Kids Club for 4-12 year olds, a regular evening mini disco, and a children’s playground. The hotel provides a babysitting service for a local charge.
