Weather in Protaras – Incredibly long summers
If you like the weather in Turkey and the Greek Islands you will love the weather in Protaras. July and August are hot without being oppressive. Expect temperatures in the low 30ºs. Lusciously warm summer nights are made for romantic pavement cafes and waterfront tavernas. Average sunshine hours hit an amazing 12 hours in peak summer. For a refreshing break take an excursion to the Troodos Mountains, where temperatures are cooler and the air feels fresher. Protaras weather in June and September is equally sunny, with temperatures around 30º. If you are planning to walk the coast paths, you should consider early and late season. Protaras weather in May and October sees pleasant temperatures in the 20’s. Rainfall in summer is extremely rare. It is only likely to rain in winter, and even then only in short bursts.
