Peyia Weather

The weather in Peyia is typical of the gorgeous Mediterranean weather enjoyed throughout Cyprus. Average temperatures here are a pleasant 20º by April and rise to around 30º at the peak of the beach holiday season. Sea temperatures at Coral Bay are in the mid 20’s in summer and you will still find the sea acceptably warm for swimming in November.

 

If you have enjoyed the weather in Turkey or Greece, you will love the weather in Cyprus. Peyia weather in July and August is hot and dry but without the extreme heat of resorts in Egypt. Both June and September are idyllic months for beaches and a little Cyprus sightseeing. For a wonderfully refreshing excursion head for the Troodos Mountains. Many of the cheapest holidays are found in October and November, when the village is delightfully peaceful and you can still enjoy temperatures similar to a good summer day in the UK.

 

Many Cyprus experts will recommend spring and early summer as the best time to go to Peyia. The village is peaceful, Coral Bay is quiet, Paphos is just winding up for the season and the fruit orchards surrounding Peyia are in blossom. The weather in April and May is ideal for walking on the Akamas Peninsular. Peyia Easter holidays offer more reliable sunshine than Spain or Portugal. The quieter months also see plenty of cheap holidays in Peyia hotels of every category. Mild winter weather with plenty of sunshine means Peyia breaks are available throughout the year.
