Nissi Bay All-inclusive

Nissi Bay all-inclusive holidays centre, quite unsurprisingly, around the stunning Nissi Beach. A popular Cyprus destination for family holidays, Nissi Bay is actually just a few kilometres from Ayia Napa itself, one of the party capitals of the Mediterranean, if not the whole of Europe. But a holiday in Nissi Bay provides a surprisingly quiet and family-friendly atmosphere; good for couples and parents with young children. It’s a short taxi-ride to the clubbing centre of Ayia Napa for a night out on the town, and all-inclusive holiday hotels often provide crèche and baby-sitting facilities. Nissi Bay still has a lively nightlife of its own, but without that one-purpose-only feel of a clubbing holiday resort. Nissi Beach itself is about 500 metres long, with waters crystal-clear and clean enough that the beach has been given blue flag status. Holiday-makers can walk through the shallow waters to the uninhabited islet of Nissi which lies just off the coast. And while an all-inclusive holiday may see pretty much anything included in the price, a lot of people visit this part of south-east Cyprus for a watersports holiday pure and simple. Water-skiing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, snorkeling and scuba diving are all tremendously popular, and the less adventurous can settle for hiring pedal boats. With bungee jumps and volley ball courts on the beach, there’s something for every adrenaline or sports fiend.

 

Apart from the selection of all-inclusive hotels and self-catering apartments and villas at Nissi Bay, there are a number of other seaside resorts on this stretch of the Cyprus coast. Visit Sandy Bay, Limnara Beach, Ayia Thekla and Macronissos beach for a little variety; and take a trip to the Palaces between Limnara Beach and Cape Greco. These are rocks which have been sculpted by the sea over thousands of years to give the impression of deliberate and palatial architecture.
