Beaches
There are plenty of well-developed sandy beaches in and around Larnaca, with many different amenities for visitors, from umbrellas, sunbeds and beachfront bars and cafes, to changing rooms. Choose from popular spots such as McKenzie and Dhekelia, or quieter stretches such as Dasoudi.  
 
Scuba Diving
Conditions are great for scuba-diving, thanks to the clear warm seas and excellent visibility. No trip to the resort is complete without a visit to the famous Zenobia wreck, which lies just 18 meters beneath the surface, making it accessible to all levels of diver.
 
Water Sports
Those in search of active water sports have plenty to keep them busy on the beaches of Larnaca, with facilities for jet-skiing, windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, parasailing, kitesurfing, kayaking, canoeing and snorkelling. 
 
Boat Trips
A number of scenic boat trips depart from Larnaca marina and run up and down the coast, from sunset cruises and glass-bottomed boats, to yachting charters and fishing trips.
 
Sports & Leisure
Away from the beaches, there is plenty to do on holidays to Larnaca, with facilities for swimming, tennis, volleyball, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, quad biking and paintball. Hotels offer entertainment programmes, and the city is full of lively bars, cafes and restaurants to visit. 
 
Countryside
The interior of the island is ideal for exploring on foot, bike or horseback, with the scenic countryside around Larnaca full of paths and trails through forests, gorges and mountains. The E4 trail that runs to Paphos is a great way to experience the beauty of the local landscapes and its flora and fauna, and soak up some of the historical sights, too. 
 
Day Trips
Attractions in Larnaca include Kition and Choirokoitia, as well as the Archaeological Museum and Larnaca Castle, and various churches, monasteries and temples. Visit the Salt Lake with its flamingos, Waterworld Water Park in Ayia Napa, or enjoy a camel ride at Mazatos Camel Park, with easy day trips to other popular destinations in Southern Cyprus, such as Nicosia and Paphos.
