Beach
The powdery white sands and brilliant blue waters make the beach the main attraction of Puerto Morelos holidays, with most visitor’s content to just sit back and enjoy the beach and its fantastic setting.

Water Sports
Water sports that are typical of this area of Mexico include boogie board rental, canoeing, catamaran sailing and fishing trips. Local cenotes (limestone sinkholes often accessed via caves) around Puerto Morelos offer excellent conditions for swimming in crystal-clear freshwater.

Scuba-Diving
The offshore coral reef in Puerto Morelos is a protected marine park, and there are a number of dive shops offering trips out to explore this fascinating underwater area. Snorkelling equipment and tours are also available.

Many hotels have luxury spas featuring a host of treatments including holistic remedies, massages, body wraps, facials and a thalassotherapy pool, as well as saunas, jacuzzis, steam rooms and plunge pools. The area also has local spas offering Mayan treatments and remedies.

As well as the many piano bars, cocktail bars and cigar bars, the hotels arrange extensive entertainment programmes featuring music, dancing and themed nights.

Day Trips
The Mayan Riviera is home to a number of interesting attractions, including Tulum, Chichen Itza, X'caret and Xel-ha. There are jungle tours and trips to swim with dolphins, as well as a ferry crossing to the island of Cozumel.
