Beaches

Nearby Cozumel Island has the ultimate dive sites that will prove to be an unforgettable experience even for the most seasoned divers. Cozumel is described as the best diving site in the western hemisphere with its coral gardens and hidden reefs; this is a diving opportunity not to be missed.

Golf in Playacar is another delight. The Playacar Golf Club boasts a championship golf course designed by Robert Von Hagge; one of the world’s top architects. This lush green course is surrounded by lakes and is one of the most challenging courses in the area.

There is no shortage of first class restaurants in Playacar. Dining options include Mexican, Asian, Italian, Caribbean and international dishes. You can eat at the hotel’s excellent restaurants or choose one of the eateries overlooking the beach as the sun goes down.

For a wider selection of bars and clubs head to nearby Playa Del Carmen that boasts some of the most vibrant nightlife options on the Riviera Maya. Nightclubs, casinos, bars and live music events are all on the menu in this colourful resort.
 
Shopping
Playacar has some excellent shopping options. There are two malls providing hand crafted goods, designer stores and a number of restaurants. Playa Del Carmen is known as the fifth avenue of shopping in this area and a day out in the stores may see you overloading your luggage allowance.
