Puerto Jaurez is directly north of Cancun on the Bahia de Mujeres on the coast of magical Mexico. The beaches around Puerto Juarez are clean and ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving. Underwater, the sumptuous hues, easily-viewed shallow reefs and diversity of marine life can’t fail to impress, and the Gran Acerife Maya here, also known as the Great Mesoamerican Reef is one of the largest on the planet. Maya archaeological sites are also in abundance. Make sure to visit Tulum, 100km south, Chichen Itza in the centre of the peninsula, and Coba, 80 km away.

Easy access to laid-back Isla Mujeres
On this remarkable peninsula of eastern Mexico, Puerto Juarez is an ideal location for including Isla Mujeres in your holiday itinerary. Just offshore, and in contrast to the liveliness of Cancun, Isla Mujeres, or the Island of Women, is a calm, natural retreat. The island is popular for its gorgeous beaches, underwater reefs, and exquisite Maya temple, discovered by the Spanish conquistadors and featuring carved female figures - hence the island’s name. 

Weather in Puerto Juarez

Puerto Juarez has weather that is over 32C for over one third of the year. In fact, there are only around 30 or so days when the temperature doesn't reach 27C. From April until the end of October, the Puerto Juarez weather won't disappoint, with a virtually guaranteed minimum of 27C. But pack a light waterproof – you can expect a rainy season from May to June and then another from October to December.
