Playa El Agua Things To Do

Beach
Known as one of the best beaches on the island, Playa el Agua boasts a long 4km stretch of soft white sand, backed by both coconut and palm trees. In an idyllic setting, the tropical beach has convenient chairs and umbrellas, and is well-served by a selection of beach-bars and restaurants.

Water Sports
Active guests can enjoy snorkelling and scuba diving, and the beach is a popular spot with surfers, as is the neighbouring beach at Playa Parguito.

Fishing
Deep-sea fishing is available, with the local catch including tuna, mackerel and barracuda. Fishing trips include time to snorkel, enjoy lunch in a traditional fishing village, and maybe take in some dolphins and whale-spotting.

Sports & Leisure
Many of the beachfront hotels have swimming pools and tennis courts, and there are stables nearby offering horse riding. Thrill-seekers can try bungee-jumping, jeep safaris and light plane tours.

Golf
The Hotel Hesperia Isla Margarita Golf Course is the ideal spot for enthusiasts to enjoy a round or two of golf in the warm Caribbean sunshine.

Water Park
Margarita's only water park, Parque El Agua, is located close to the resort, and offers a great day out for families, with its three water slides, lazy river and special children's area.

Dining
The boulevard is home to almost 50 restaurants, serving an eclectic mix of food and drink. Choose from the local cuisine with its flavours from the Caribbean, Africa and Europe, in dishes such as fish soup, empenadas, arepas and barilla, or try a number of spots offering international cuisine.

Day Trips
Take a journey along the local canals and through the mangrove forests of La Restinga National Park, or head to the Margarita Tropical Gardens and Labyrinth, with its ficus maze. Porlamar is just 30 minutes away, and great for shopping and dining.
