Portoroz Things To Do
Beach
The beaches of Portoroz are the longest on the Istrian peninsula, and are definitely the main attraction here, boasting a lively Italian Riviera-style atmosphere. The warm waters of the Adriatic are good for swimming and water sports, such as windsurfing, scuba diving and sailing.
Sports
Portoroz has facilities for swimming, tennis, table-tennis, mini golf, basketball, handball, volleyball, bowling and bocce. Visitors can try the local go-cart track, and for real thrill-seekers, there are facilities for parachute jumping.
Boat Trips
Sail away on a range of boat trips that depart from the marina, from sunset evening cruises, submarine tours or fishing excursions. Portoroz has yachts that can be privately chartered, and there are also motorboats to rent - all great ways to experience the beautiful coastline of Slovenia.

The town is an established health resort, known for it’s with mineral-rich thermal waters for hundreds of years, and today still attracts visitors to its health and wellness centres. Inland, the surrounding area is full of rolling green hills and valleys, olive groves and vineyards, and dotted with charming towns and villages. Rent a bike to explore the footpaths, or follow one of the trails that leads through the countryside and enjoy a scenic walk or more strenuous hike.
