Krk Holidays

Unspoilt Croatia island
Krk holidays feature the largest of the Adriatic islands, connected to the mainland by a bridge, and often accessed from Pula airport. Krk holidays enjoy a sunny, mild Mediterranean climate, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of simple, unspoilt beaches. Krk holidays centre on the resorts of Malinska, Punat, Baska and the island capital, Krk Town. Krk Town has an attractive old centre with narrow lanes, charming squares, baroque churches, a castle and a Franciscan monastery. Holidays in Krk Town can sample a nice collection of cafes and bars, and good restaurants serving regional cuisine and local wine. Krk harbour is a favourite stopover with Croatia sailing holidays. For a livelier Krk holiday, try the resorts of Njivice and Malinska.

Dozens of beaches
The highlight of Krk holidays is the island’s dramatic, indented coastline with wooded bays, quiet coves, cliffs and tiny offshore islands. There are plenty of enjoyable small beaches on Krk. Some of the best Krk beaches are around the popular resort of Baska. Family holidays on Krk tend to focus on the beaches at Baska, Punat and Krk Town. Part of the charm of holidays on Krk is visiting a string of charmingly different coastal villages and taking boats to offshore islands like Kosljun. Krk holidays could include trips to the medieval castle and vineyards at Vrbnik, the old centre of Omisalj, and the short ferry trip to the neighbouring island of Cres.

Watersports and walking
