Kolocep holidays begin with a 20 minute ferry ride or 10 minute water taxi from Dubrovnik, the island of Kolocep is one of the 14 Elafiti islands located at the south eastern end of Croatia. Holidays in Kolocep are at a relaxed pace, the island is car free and there are many walking paths crossing the island. Kolocep holidays are mostly based in the pretty, romantic villages of Gornje Celo and Donje Celo, both set in picturesque coves.

Kolocep beaches are known as some of the best unspoilt and secluded beaches in Europe, there are sandy, pebble and rocky coves which you can make your own. There is also a naturist beach in Kolocep close to the village of Donje Celo. The rest of the island of Kolocep is covered with lush, green vegetation and woods of pine trees and the Adriatic Sea surrounding Kolocep is beautifully clean.

Kolocep holidays in Croatia are relaxed and peaceful, there are wonderful restaurants and cafes to visit serving fresh seafood caught by the local fisherman, and the island of Kolocep also produces a lot of local fruit and vegetables and wine. There are many walking trails on the island of Kolocep through the woods and little villages. There are water sports available at Gornje Celo and Donje Celo and sea kayaking is the perfect way to explore the dramatic coastline of Kolocep. Kolocep Island is a wonderful holiday destination with a relaxed atmosphere and tranquil environment.

Weather in Kolocep
The climate in Kolocep during the summer is one of hot sunny days with temperatures from May until September staying over the 25C mark. The water temperatures are perfect for swimming, diving and snorkelling, and the sun will beat down for around 10 to 12 hours per day. Evening temperatures in Kolocep will still be warm at around 20C to 23C making it perfect for meals in the restaurant gardens or drinks on the terraces.  Spring comes early in Kolocep and if you are taking an Easter break in April you can expect to receive around six hours of 17C sunshine per day. The mild weather in Kolocep during the autumn months makes this area of Croatia very popular for a late sunshine break. The month of October sees Kolocep receiving around eight hours of sunshine per day with the temperature hovering around 20C.
