St Konstantin Things To Do
Golden Sandy Beaches
The beaches at St Konstantin are lovely; loads of sandy coves and stretches of lovely clean golden sand against a backdrop of steep wooded hills. The sea is usually calm and the beaches shelve gently into the sea, so it’s safe for swimmers of all ages. Plus, expert lifeguards constantly patrol the beach.
Marina and Water Sports
If you fancy boating, or trying your hand at various fun water sports, head for the marina at the southern end of the beach.
Visit Lovely, Lively Varna
The vibrant historic city of Varna is only about twenty minutes away, packed with really good value shopping and wonderful sightseeing including the fascinating Varna Archaeological Museum.
Mineral Pool Thermal Baths
The mineral pool thermal baths is on the beach at St Konstantin. It is fed by natural hot thermal springs, so the water is beautifully warm. It also smells odd, but ignore the whiff… it’s the minerals that make it pong and they’re supposed to be good for you! The surrounding complex is old but quite attractive and the experience is very relaxing.
Simple Pleasures
The local public pool is fun for an afternoon if you’ve taken the kids on holiday. There are also some tennis courts to keep the children happy, and you can hire bicycles for a relaxed family adventure on two wheels.
Easy, Chilled Nightlife
The social scene after dark is low key and unsophisticated, mostly concentrated around the resort’s hotel bars. The biggest is probably the Grand Varna hotel, which has a bar, a casino and a night club.
Eating Out
As with the nightlife, eating out in St Konstantin is a simple affair, mostly centred around the resort’s hotels and snack bars. Don’t expect exotic or extensive menus. Food in Bulgaria is hearty and basic, and it’s great value. There is lots of succulent pork and mouth watering veal accompanied by rich, tasty sauces, rice and vegetables.
