Attractive Black Sea holiday village
Elenite, a popular choice for a relaxing break in Bulgaria, is a relatively small-scale, purpose-built village on the sunny, southern Black Sea coast, 6 miles from Sunny Beach and a short transfer from Bourgas airport. Whilst remaining exceptionally cheap by British standards, the resort has a more restrained, upmarket feel than neighbouring Sunny Beach and livelier resorts like Golden Sands and Albena.

Elenite Beach is an outstanding stretch of fine sand on an attractive bay backed by low hills. Clear, clean water and gently shelving, fine sand plus a kindergarten and organised activities and entertainment for children make this a popular place with families. There are plenty of economical cafes, bars and restaurants. Nightlife includes hotel entertainment and a village disco. For a livelier night out you could take a trip to Sunny Beach.

There is no shortage of healthy sports activities in the resort - tennis, horse riding, a Sport and Spa Centre and popular jeep safaris are some of what Elenite has to offer. Water sports include sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and paragliding. Walkers can enjoy the fine coastal scenery around Emine Cape. For a touch of history and culture take a trip to the picturesque, historic town of Nessebar. The enjoyable city of Bourgas provides an enjoyable insight into everyday life and culture in Bulgaria.

The climate in Elenite is moderate with temperatures in the summer season ranging between 23C-27C. The summer season begins in May and ends in October so sun lovers can enjoy the sunny and warm climate in these months. Average sea temperatures between the months of May to October range between 15C-24C. The average sun shine hours in the months of May to September are between 8 to 9 hours. Elenite does offer the advantage of light sea breezes which cool things down a little, making a very enjoyable climate for visitors to the area.
