A summer holiday at Port El Kantaoui means clear blue skies with hour after hour of glorious sunshine. In fact, the weather there is as appealing as the hassle-free vibe and the choice of activities and sports on offer. With the average temperature in July and August being a fantastic 33C, and hardly any summer rainfall, Port El Kantaoui is a sun-worshipper’s dream. Through the winter season expect milder weather, of course, with temperatures levelling out at an average of 17C. But that’s still perfect weather for 18 holes before lunch, don’t you think!
Port El Kantaoui Weather – Months-on-end of wonderful summer sunshine
The long tourist season here lasts from late May to mid-October. July has 12 hours’ sunshine per day as the temperature rises to the mid-thirties. It can remain that high into August. The heat is not so sweltering that it becomes unbearable, as a welcome breeze occasionally blows in from the sea, helping to take the edge off at times. In September, the temperature drops to a cooler 26C, making excursions from Port El Kantaoui to places such as the souks of Hammamat and Monastir, and the Roman amphitheatre at El Jem more comfortable.

November brings the arrival of autumn, with the temperature dropping to 21C. This is still pleasant, though, and the increased rainfall only really amounts to about 6 days with some rain throughout the month. How about taking the family horse-riding then? A holiday memory to treasure for years to come indeed. The winter holiday season at Port El Kantaoui stretches from December to late February. Expect increased rainfall then, and remember to pack an extra layer as the night-time temperature can drop to as low as 7C. March means the arrival of spring, decreased rainfall, and a rise in average temperature to 22C by the last week of April.
