Just 35 km inland from Agadir you will experience mountains, canyons, waterfalls, palm groves and isolated villages in the valleys. For surf fans, a short taxi or bus ride will take you to Taghazout, a smaller beach resort renowned for its wind and kite surfing facilities and laid back beach culture. You could also visit the city’s five museums and beautifully-kept parks and gardens. There is great shopping in the wide avenues and stylish squares of Agadir.

Taste the culinary delights of the Souss region

Enjoy the outstanding local produce of the Souss region, of which Agadir is the capital. Agadir was originally a fishing village but grew to become one of the world’s most important fishing ports. It is still highly regarded for its fantastic seafood – so enjoy some fine dining around the thriving port area. At night this is the place to stroll, eat, drink and dance. While staying in Agadir you must also try a delicious local speciality - thyme flavoured honey, which has been made here for centuries.
