Nyali Weather
Weather at Nyali – Month after month of sunshine on Kenya’s beautiful south-east coast
Nyali is one of those holiday resorts that, once you’ve been there, you won’t even consider holidaying anywhere else next time around. The weather might have something to do with it! During the summer season average highs can reach 32C (with only occasional rainfall) – just right for sipping a cool drink beside the hotel pool, or for working on your tan on the beach as you watch the kids have a great time paddling in the sea. The glorious summers are contrasted with milder winters, with an average temperature of 28C making trips to the nature park at Bamburi, the Bombolulu Cultural Centre, and the Mamba Village Crocodile Park comfortable experiences for the whole family to enjoy.
Nyali Weather – Long holiday season, sunshine all day long
The long summer season at Nyali stretches from November to April, with up to 9 hours of sunshine per day throughout. This makes cooling off with a spot of snorkelling and diving a must. Or why not just chill out at one of the friendly beachside cafes by reading a chapter or two of that holiday novel you remembered to pack? With only a few days with rain per month over the summer season at Nyali, you can basically look forward to a brilliant two weeks of glorious uninterrupted sunshine.
Weather at Nyali – Milder spring and autumn days, but rainfall expected in winter
Autumn in Nyali (May and June) sees the average daytime temperature drop to a cool but still pleasant 28C – perfect weather for trips to Mombasa where the colourful street life and the bustling markets are not to be missed. You can expect increased rain during this season, becoming more frequent, of course, as winter draws closer. The winter season at Nyali is August and September. That means milder temperatures until spring arrives again in October, and the anticipation of another scorching summer season at Nyali builds once more.
