Cape Point Weather
Cape Point Weather – All year round high temperatures
Gambia’s Cape Point is a small resort with a huge beach and an abundance of tropical sunshine. Throughout the entire year the temperature will not usually dip below the 30C mark although there will be slight seasonal variations. The variations are the amount of rainfall that occurs throughout the year. Rainfall does hit this area of the Gambia between late June and October and holiday makers should pack rainwear during this season. Much of the rainfall does come during the night or as short-lived showers during the day.
Weather in Cape Point – The perfect beach weather
The climate in Cape Point is spectacularly sunny all year round and the dry season stretches from the middle of November to early June. During this period, temperatures will be over the 30C mark but can reach to 34C and over throughout the dry season. Sunshine levels are also high at this time of the year ranging from eight hours in November to 10 hours during the February to May period. The Atlantic Ocean temperatures will be a few degrees lower than the air temperatures; perfect for swimming and diving. The weather here makes the beach the perfect place to stretch out and relax during the long summer days.
Cape Point Weather – Off season African sunshine
Holiday makers who are considering a holiday here during the rainy season will find that the temperatures are still around the 30C mark. This can be the ideal time to book an off season holiday. Rainfall is never continual and can sometimes last only for minutes to be quickly dried by the high temperatures. No matter what season holiday makers visit the sun in Cape Point will always be shining down.
