Sharks Bay Weather

If you love the sun, you will love the weather in Sharks Bay. Like all the popular Red Sea resorts, Sharks Bay offers non-stop summer holiday sunshine, reliable winter warmth and perfect beach weather in spring and autumn. The climate here is massively influenced by the proximity of the Sinai Dessert. Whatever time of year you visit Sharks Bay, you can expect to enjoy clear blue skies and long hours of sunshine. You are extremely unlikely to experience any rainfall at any time of year. Few beach holiday regions worldwide can compete with sea temperatures in Egypt. Even winter visitors will find idyllic conditions for relaxed swimming, snorkelling and diving. Winter is exceptionally popular thanks to reliable sunshine and temperatures in the low-to-mid 20’s. Sharks Bay weather in spring and autumn is better suited to activity adventure and trips to the ancient sites in Luxor and Aswan. Many Egypt veterans recommend April and May as the best time to visit the area. Red Sea diving fans will recommend late summer to autumn for the best underwater visibility.

 

The most striking thing about Sharks Bay weather in July and August is the astonishing amount of sunshine. Expect to enjoy around 12 hours a day. Deciding when to go to Sharks Bay depends on what you hope to get from your holiday. Peak summer weather is fine if you are happy to do little more than relax in the surroundings of your luxury hotel. Temperatures in the high 30’s are a delight for diving holiday visitors and watersports fans but will be too hot for sightseeing or trips into the desert. Fortunately, humidity is reasonably low and beaches are cooled slightly by fairly constant sea breezes. Evenings are romantic but do take something warm for evening strolls or al fresco dining. The weather in June and September sees perfect beach temperatures more in line with summer conditions in the Canary Islands or Cyprus. The quieter months also see a wider choice of cheap holidays in Sharks Bay hotels.
