Dahab Weather – Year-round beach fun
The weather in Dahab is typical of the beach holidays resorts on the eastern side of the Sinai Peninsula. Whenever you visit, you can expect long hours of bright sunshine and little or no rain. The climate reflects its dessert location. Dahab sun holidays between mid-April and mid-October should see temperatures over 30º and long hours of uninterrupted sunshine. Sunshine hours in winter are still impressive but temperatures are more in line with the summer in the UK. This is the best time to go to Dahab if you wish to explore the dessert, enjoy ancient Egypt sightseeing tours or visit other Egypt beach resorts. Beautifully warm sea temperatures are a major factor in the popularity of Red Sea diving holidays. Warm seas also make for very relaxed snorkelling and swimming at any time of year.

Summers are long and hot. Our weather statistics show just how hot and sunny it can be in peak summer. Both July and August see temperatures in the mid-30s, rising to a scorching 40º on occasions. Heat and relatively low humidity levels are tempered by cooling sea breezes. However, even the most dedicated sun worshipper will retreat to their air-conditioned hotel during the hottest part of the day. Do take care if you venture out in the hottest temperatures. Summer is not the ideal time for dessert excursions. Windless conditions away from the coast are very tiring. Average Dahab temperatures in early and late summer are simply idyllic. Both June and September see temperatures in the high 20s.

Dahab winter weather is a lot less extreme. Temperatures of 27º in mid-October gradually descend to around 20º in January. Sea temperatures remain high enough for relaxed swimming in the winter months and an average 7 hours of dessert sunshine will seem idyllic coming from the depths of the British winter. You can expect to see a little rainfall in Dahab in the autumn and winter, but only 2 or 3 times a month. Perhaps the best time to go to Dahab is April or May, when temperatures are perfect for sunbathing and you will find plenty of cheap holidays in Dahab hotels.
