Our Lady of Assumption Church
This fantastic church was built way back in the 1500s in typically simple, elegant Catalan Gothic style, one of three Alicante fortress churches. Village of Joy!
Villajoyosa transates as ‘village of joy’! The town’s houses are all painted in vivid, exotic colours, originally to help fishermen navigate their way into the port. The town’s medieval centre, the Old Town, is beautifully preserved and conserved and a stroll around there will give you a glimpse into typical Catalan life. Visit Guadalest
Historic Guaualest is an hour or so away by car, home to the famous monastery as well as shops where you can buy local arts and crafts, and totally fantastic sea views. Choose from at least 20 Golf Courses
