Veneto Region Weather - Hot sunny Venetian Riviera beaches
The weather in the Veneto region is typical of Northern Italy, with considerable variations depending on whether you are on the coast or in the mountains. Delightful vineyards and popular beach resorts like Lido di Jesolo attest to the fine, hot, sunny weather of the region’s long summer season. Serious sunbathers staying at Veneto beach resorts will enjoy long sunny days with temperatures consistently in the high 20ºs. On the very hottest days the thermometer can go considerably higher. The summer heat in July and August is sometimes broken by short, refreshing, evening thunderstorms. Humidity is quite high in the summer: fine if you are on the beach but tiring if you are in Venice. Summer weather in the mountains is delightful, with much cooler nights. Be careful with the strong sunshine.

Veneto Region Weather - Crisp spring and autumn sunshine
Beautiful crisp, clear sunshine and generally warm weather make spring and autumn delightful times to tour famous Veneto cities like Padua and Verona. You will also see the beautiful countryside at its colourful best. Early and late-summer holidays on the Veneto coast still enjoy very fine weather and you will find the resorts much quieter. Rainfall in the Veneto region is highest during the early winter. Winter sees snow for skiing in the Dolomites.

Weather in the Venito Region - Wrap up warm in winter
The weather in Venice is an important consideration when planning a visit. Venice will astonish and delight all year round but summer can be tiring with its mixture of crowds, heat and humidity. If you can travel outside the summer holiday season we would strongly recommend March to June and September to October, avoiding the excesses of the summer and the unsettled weather of the winter. Having said that, many Venice aficionados swear by the winter for its crisp sunshine, quiet streets and even its atmospheric fog! Winter holidays in Venice can be tremendously romantic and will see a fraction of the tourists. If you do go in winter wrap up warm as winds from the sea can be invigorating to say the least!
