Varkala Weather

As you would expect from a tropical destination, the weather in Varkala can be close to perfect for much of the year. The average temperature in Varkala is 30C and will not fluctuate from this point for most of the year. The biggest difference will be the rainy season which lasts from May until October with June seeing the most rainfall. However, temperatures will still be around 30C and above during the summer months. November to the end of February is the most popular time of the year for a holiday in Varkala. Temperatures will be around the 30C mark and the sun will be shining down on the beautiful beaches for around eight hours per day.

 

Although the temperatures in Varkala are high year round most holiday makers do tend to avoid the rainy months between June and September. The spring and winter months are preferable with high temperatures and less chance of rainfall. However, months such as late October and May are also popular options with rainfall tending to be infrequent and short lived. Winter temperatures are also less humid and tend to be more pleasant if exploring and sightseeing the breathtaking Indian coastline. Warmer clothes may be required on some evenings but the days will be hot with clear blue sunny skies.

 

Varkala is fast becoming one of the most popular winter sunshine destinations. While Britain feels the cold the weather in Varkala will be hot and sunny. Many holiday makers choose Christmas and New Year in Varkala in order to swim in the Arabian Sea and lounge on the magnificent beaches. Easter and October breaks are also popular with the temperatures hovering around the 30C mark and above. There may be a slight chance of rainfall but nothing as intense as the high summer months.
