Uvero Alto sits on a fairly remote section of the east coast of the Dominican Republic, and is part of the Punta Cana region of the island. Uvero Alto experiences a semi-tropical climate with sunny days and blue skies throughout the year, and boasts idyllic conditions for a relaxing beach-based holiday. The resort enjoys an average annual temperature of 30C, however the winter months are the best time to visit, when the humidity level is lowest and there is limited rainfall.

December to April sees the driest weather in Uvero Alto, and with highs of 29C and an average of 8 hours of sunshine each day, the winter is the peak tourist season. Night-time temperatures hover around 21C during this time, perfect for drinks on the beach and evening strolls. The beaches are the focus of the resort, and the sea remains very warm, with pleasant water temperatures of 26C - 27C, and a moderate humidity level. The days are generally dry, with between 50mm - 80mm of rain falling each month during the winter.

Rainfall increases in April, with the resort seeing 150mm in the wettest months of May and October. June to October is the most humid time in Uvero Alto, when temperatures rise to 32C. The Dominican Republic experiences a hurricane season which runs from August to October, with the prime months for storms being August and September.
