Uvero Alto Things To Do
Beach
Uvero Alto lies in the northernmost part of Punta Cana, and offers a tranquil base in the most remote region of the resort. The white sandy beach is shaded by coconut trees, and home to plenty of deserted spots for peaceful sunbathing. A coral reef lies offshore, and the warm turquoise Caribbean waters are ideal for swimming.
Water Sports
Water sports to try here include windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, snorkelling and scuba-diving, with the hotels offering equipment and tuition. Fishing trips are also available.
Sports
Guests can enjoy a range of sports in the hotels, including swimming, tennis, volleyball, football, table tennis, archery, billiards, gyms, aqua aerobics and even a driving range. Horse riding is also available, and mountain bikes can be rented to explore the area.
Golf
Punta Cana has become a major golfing destination, and is home to a number of highly-rated courses, many of which are easily reached from Uvero Alto.
Entertainment
As well as sports and leisure facilities, the hotels offer spas and beauty salons, and educational courses such as cooking, art, dance and language lessons. Evening entertainment features bars, clubs, discos, casinos and nightly themed shows.
Food & Drink
Hotels are offered on an all-inclusive basis, and are known for their lavish buffets. Plenty of international fare is available, as well as a range of local Caribbean specials.
Day Trips
For those looking to venture from the beach, there are trips to take including 4x4 jeep and monster truck safaris, water bike, speedboat and beach buggy tours. Excursions are available to Manati Wildlife Park, Santo Domingo city, Bayahibe and Saona Island, and whale-watching trips can be taken from January to March.
