Weather in the USA
Of all the continents in the world, America must possess one of the most diverse climates. From the frozen wastelands of Alaska to the parched deserts of Nevada, the USA experiences every type of weather pattern imaginable. The advantages of visiting such a huge country are obvious - you can select your destination based on the type of holiday you desire whether it be skiing in the Rocky Mountains, experiencing big city life or simply reclining on a beach and enjoying the sunshine. As a basic rule, the further south you go, the hotter it will be so if you are looking for winter sun, Florida and Southern California are the obvious choices.

USA weather - perfect for beach holidays and winter sun.
Florida is known as 'The sunshine state' for obvious reasons and draws sun seekers all year round. With an average of 8 hours sunshine in December and January and temperatures of around 20 degrees it is not hard to see why so many people flock to Florida in the winter months. Summer sees temperatures reach into the 30s and humidity can be quite high but cooling ocean breezes and warm sea temperatures make Florida the perfect beach holiday destination. California covers a vast area but weather conditions are generally consistent with long, hot summers, warm weather in spring and autumn and mild winters being the norm. Less hot and humid than Florida, California is also a great option for beach lovers.

Weather in the USA - One of the most rewarding times for visiting the USA is autumn. The 'fall' as it is known in America often creates stunning landscapes in the more northern states where forests explode in colour, transforming from green to red. Visiting one of the famous National Parks such as Yosemite or Yellowstone is an incredible experience at this time of year. Winter in the mountains is best avoided unless you're looking for a skiing holiday which is when the Rocky Mountains are just one of the mountain ranges that come into their own. Temperatures in the northern states often drop well below freezing and Chicago and New York can experience extreme cold weather in the winter months.
