Tuscany Region Reviews
Our Review of Tuscany...
It is little surprise that Tuscany is rated the most beautiful region of Italy by our customers. The sheer romantic beauty of the countryside is enough to seduce most visitors: undulating rolling hills, soft picturesque farmland, idyllic vineyards and some of the most perfectly picturesque hill villages and fortified towns in Europe. While Tuscany boasts several cosmopolitan beach resorts like Marina di Peitrasanta, most visitors come for the romance and charm of the countryside, the fine weather and the astonishing wealth of art, architecture, history and culture in world-famous cities like Florence, Pisa and Siena. Tuscany excels in luxury hotels, classy villa holidays, romantic country inns and stylish dining. Tour fabulous walled towns like Lucca, beautiful fortified villages like Citerna and Monteriggioni and famous hilltop villages like San Gimignano and Montepulciano. Or simply luxuriate in gorgeously restful regions like Chianti and Garfagnana.
Customer Reviews of Tuscany...
“There’s nothing quite like a villa holiday in Tuscany. We had two totally relaxing weeks in a gorgeous farmhouse near Vicchio. Long hot summer days, fine wine, great country food and beautiful evenings. We recommend heading off to the famous villages in the evening when the atmosphere is lovely.”
Mr and Mrs Turner, Taunton UK
“All the major sights, Florence, Pisa etc live up to their reputation. We really recommend exploring Tuscany in spring, autumn or even winter if you’re coming for Florence. The country colours are sumptuous and there’s a fraction of the crowds.”
Mrs I Wells, Viareggio Italy
“Tuscany is fantastic for a cycling holiday if you avoid the hot summer. It feels like you are cycling through a Renaissance art gallery! We did a lot less miles than anticipated but that’s down to the first-class hotels, too many superb meals, and the whole lovely lazy atmosphere. It really is so perfectly scenic! Spent several days in Radda, which was great for exploring Chianti.”
