Turunc Weather

The beautiful village of Turunc enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with glorious sunshine and hot dry weather throughout the summer holiday season, and short mild wetter winters. The tourist season in Turunc runs from April to October, with summer really beginning in June, when daytime highs reach around 25C, and the resort basks in 13 hours of sunshine. Humidity begins to increase at this time and the waters of the Aegean heat up to 25C, meaning very comfortable swimming conditions. Night-time temperatures reach around 18C in June, and there is limited rainfall - around 15mm during the month. July and August see temperatures of up to anywhere from 29C - 34C, and during these peak season months the sun can shine for up to 14 hours each day, with just a very occasional light shower. The height of the summer sees increased humidity, and the beaches are the place to be at this time - especially when the sea temperatures hover around 25C, making the coast ideal for swimming, water sports and boat cruises. The resort's sheltered position in a sandy bay means just a few coastal breezes blow along the shoreline during the summer, helping to temper the high heat. Night-time temperatures of 18C - 21C mean long warm evenings, great for dining out and balmy strolls around the resort. September begins to cool slightly, but still sees wonderful conditions for beach holidays, with average highs of 25C, and the sun shining for 11 hours each day.

Spring and autumn months see plenty of sunshine but reduced humidity, with the beginning and end of the season experiencing lovely warm weather and comfortable conditions. There's at least 8 hours of sunshine at these times, with April seeing averages of 18C, rising to 23C in May, and October experiencing highs of 20C, and seeing warmer sea temperatures of around 24C. There's also an increased chance for showers at this time, but nothing too heavy - between 44mm - 77mm each month. Winters in Turunc are mild but wet, with highs of around 10C and as much as 227mm of rainfall in December.
