Beach

Market
Turunc lies at the end of the mountain road, a truly beautiful coastal village. It is a fishing village that has managed to retain both character and charm in a picture perfect holiday location. A traditional local market is held here every Monday and you can go and get any holiday souvenirs and sample the colourful stalls, selling all sorts of things from local food, to kilims and Turkish rugs.

Ancient Cities
A few archaeological sites of major importance are found within easy reach of Turunc and those who are interested in ancient history will be in their element. You can see Roman and Lycian amphitheatres, underground cities carved out of volcanic rock and ancient burial tombs. All of them are well worth a visit.

Mud baths
The town of Dalyan is not far from Turunc so why not head down to the mud baths and spend time soaking in the rich sulphur and minerals, reputed to cure many ailments and skin complaints. You could also treat yourself to have a traditional Turkish bath as many hotels in Turunc provide this service.

Hiking
Taking a trek along the hiking trails can be really rewarding. For one, the scenery is out of this world, and you can combine it with a picnic stop and make a day of it. A day in the hills will experience steep canyon walls, wild and untamed rivers, meadows and magical waterfalls in an area oozing peace and tranquillity. Trails to Amos Bay and Kumbuluk are especially scenic and will be rewarded with jaw dropping panoramic views.
