The village of Trianda is built on the site of the ancient town of Ialyssos and is sometimes known by this name. Trianda village retains plenty of traditional Greek atmosphere and architecture, a fine church, a Byzantine monastery and ancient ruins with fantastic views. Trianda village is surrounded by hills, olive groves, citrus plantations and attractive little fields. It is a fine place to mix with the locals and get a taste of uncommercial Rhodes village life while sitting in the village centre tavernas.
