Price comparison site moneysupermarket have said that half-year revenues rose by a quarter in spite of "extremely challenging" market conditions.
Moneysupermarket released ‘broadly consistent’ results with the second half of last year, confirming underlying profit margins are expected to be around 30%, with underlying UK margins in excess of 32%.
Moneysupermarket operates the websites moneysupermarket.com and travelsupermarket.com which together offer a price comparison service for credit cards, broadband services, mortgages, vehicle breakdown cover and package holidays.
Site visitors rose by over 50% to 91 million in 2007, with the total amount of transactions up to 58.2 million.
