Trapezaki Things To Do

Trapezaki things to do
Beaches
Home to gently shelving sands, and backed by shady pine trees, the undeveloped beach at Trapezaki sits in a quiet cove, and offers convenient sunbeds and umbrellas. Generally uncrowded, the beach is ideal for those looking for a base for peaceful sunbathing. Water sports are limited to the occasional pedalo.

Port
Trapezaki has a small fishing port at one side of the beach. The larger port at Pessada offers a daily ferry across to Zante, motor boat hire is available at Lourdas, and glass-bottomed boat trips depart from Argostoli.

Walking and hiking
The surrounding areas boast lush hillsides full of olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees, and offer wonderful views out across the coast to Zante. With the breathtaking backdrop of the majestic Mount Enos, the terrain is ideal for scenic walks and bike rides along the ancient pathways and trails.

Horse riding
There are also local schools in the area offering rides and treks, either along the coastal paths or the Kefalonian mountain trails.

Dining
A small selection of tavernas in and around Trapezaki offer traditional Greek cooking, with plenty of fresh fish and seafood, and a host of dishes using regional ingredients.

Day trips
Day trips include the capital, Argostoli, just 30 minutes away, the Loggerhead Turtle Sanctuary at Kaminia Beach, or the monasteries of St. Andreas and St. Gerasimos. The busier resort of Lourdas offers an alternative beach for a day out, whilst the quieter Agios Thomas and Lithero beaches are alternate peaceful spots.
