Thomson has partnered review site TripAdvisor so that hotel reviews will now appear on its own website. The deal will see the five newest reviews for each hotel displayed when users choose to access the 'TripAdvisor average rating’ on the Thomson website. Over 2,000 properties on the Thomson website now feature TripAdvisor Traveller Ratings. Thomson is now planning to make this facility available for all of its accommodation and aims to include TripAdvisor reviews within all search results by the start of 2008.
Thomson new media director, Graham Donoghue, said: "This level of integration is a UK first. We know customers trust other customers and with a partnership with the world's second most visited travel site renowned for its independence, this adds real value to the Thomson website."
TUI owned Thomson holidays last month made the purchase of review site Holidays Uncovered. TUI Travel was formed this year from the merger between First Choice holidays and the holiday’s division of TUI AG, Thomson holidays.
