Tholos beach is a large sandy beach that shelves gently into the crystal clear sea waters. Tholos beach is part of the 10Km stretch of beaches that ends at Kremasti beach. The beaches along this stretch of the west coast exude a laid back, tranquil atmosphere although water sports are available for energetic holiday makers.

 

Tholos is a mere 12 miles from the hustle and bustle of vibrant Rhodes Town. This Medieval fortress town holds a wealth of sightseeing attractions including the bazaars of the Old Town and Turkish Quarter, and the majestic Palace of the Grand Masters. The natural wonders of Butterfly Valley are just a few miles south of Tholos, and the remains of the ancient Temple of Apollo can be found in Tholos itself.

 

The beaches along the west coast are perfect for water sports that can include windsurfing, jet-skiing, sailing, paragliding and kite-surfing. Diving in Tholos can be enjoyed by booking at one of the professional dive centres at Rhodes Town or Kallithea. 

Tholos is perfectly located for numerous day trips around roads. Day trips from Tholos can include the picturesque traditional village of Kremasti and famous beach resorts such as Ixia and Trianta. A trip to Lindos, described as the most beautiful city in Rhodes, should also not be missed. A day trip to Faliraki can include the famous water park; the largest in Europe. Gold enthusiasts can head over to Afandou to test their swing on the 18-hole championship course.
