Tekirova Things To Do
Beaches
The beaches in Tekirovea are clean blue flag and sand and pebble with clear, warm Mediterranean waters. Along the coastline there are many to pick from, meaning quiet hide aways and bustling towns are all close by depending on the type of beach holiday you're after. Rising behind Tekirovea is Mount Olympos covered in fragrant pine, as well as orange and lemon groves - beautiful to walk among.
Activities
Water sports in Turkey are almost a national pastime, and you can pick from almost any you can think of. The more commonly found in Tekirovea are canoeing, snorkelling, kite surfing, wind surfing, water skiing and sailing. Traditional Turkish gulets are easily chartered and offer an amazing perspective back on the coastline. Diving in the azure waters is an experience which will rival those found in Sharm el Sheik and trips are designed for both beginners and the more advanced. For those who have dived before, you can try the more technically difficult cave, wreck or night diving. Finally, the Ekopark is a day out you will not forget as it is an ambitious arboretum with a rare animal, spider, fish, reptile, plant and cacti collection. It even has crocodiles from the Amazon. There's plenty to do for those after activity holidays in Tekirovea.
Ancient Sites
Mount Olympos is one of the best known sites in the ancient world, and well worth a visit with its well preserved marble village. Also, the nearby Roman ruins at Phaselis have stood the test of time since 700BC. Finally, Simena is an awe inspiring site with the ruin of a half-submerged castle and amphitheatre.
Nightlife & Local Restaurants
Tekirovea is fairly quiet, however there are a number of traditional tavernas and bars to while away the evenings in, and the restaurants, as you would expect, serve excellent locally caught fish. If you want a livelier night out, the town of Kemer is not far by bus or cab.
