Tangiers Weather - Long summers with plenty of sun
With virtually guaranteed sun – around 320 days of sunshine per year - and no rain from April to October, Tangiers is a superb destination for anyone looking for a beach or watersports holiday with a chance to enjoy fascinating local history and culture. Thanks to the prevailing winds, which come mainly from the east, and the Canarian current coming up the Atlantic coast, Tangiers avoids the extremes of weather experienced in Morocco’s interior. The sea temperature is similar to southern Spain, although offshore sandbanks on the Mediterranean coast can make it seem even warmer. Surfers and windsurfers will want to head for the Atlantic coast, where the sea breezes are stronger.
