Taba Holidays
Taba is one of the newest resorts on the Red Sea and has developed around the border crossing between Egypt and Israel. Just south of Eilat, Taba offers an extremely picturesque coastline, filled with pretty bays and coves which dot the blue seas, backed by the beautiful Sinai Mountains and accompanied by great views over the Red Sea and Jordan. Taba boasts fantastic scuba-diving conditions, and is an ideal destination for a quiet and relaxing beach getaway.

Holidays in Taba - Fantastic dive conditions in uncrowded waters
Taba, with its' stunning coastline of swaying palms, white sand and azure seas, offers just a few facilities - a choice of dive centres, hotels and Bedouin camps on the beach. The region is becoming known in the luxury market, however, due to the recent project Taba Heights, just 19km away from the border - a cosmopolitan development encompassing numerous 5 star hotels, a marina, a casino and an 18-hole championship golf course. An ideal resort in which to learn to dive, Taba offers warm waters and a calm current, and shallow reefs accessible straight from the beach. There are hard and soft coral reefs, which have remained untouched due to the resort being less crowded than others along the shoreline of the Red Sea, filled with such marine life as rays, moray eels, bream, glassfish, snappers, batfish, seahorses and the unusual frogfish, which are rarely seen elsewhere. Some of the best dive sites in Taba include Pharaohs' Island, the Fjord, the Aquarium, Maxwells' and Topaz and Coral City.

Holidays in Taba - Ideally placed to explore the historical sites of the area
Nightlife in Taba tends to be hotel-based, with a choice of bars, restaurants and discos, and evening entertainment. For those non-divers, the hotels in Taba offer plenty of other activities, such as golf, water-sports, camel rides, quad bike rides and boat-trips. A visit to the stunning landscapes of the Sinai Desert is a must while holidaying in Taba, as is a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars. Taba is ideally placed to explore the fascinating historical sites of the area, being at the point where Egypt, Isreal and Jordan meet. Visit the 6th century St Katherines' Monastery, climb the 2285m peak of Mount Sinai (especially at sunrise or sunset), or take a trip to Pharaohs' Island with its' 12th century fort. Cross the border to Israel and the lively resort of Eilat to shop or swim with the dolphins, take the ferry to Jordan and see Petra City, or venture further afield and visit the Pyramids.
