Many guests just choose to relax at one of the pools and enjoy the wonderful sunshine (Sun City has year-round good weather) but the resort has plenty more to offer, with its' wide range of facilities, and there is plenty to keep guests busy, day or night. Sun City is home to The Valley of the Waves, a huge water-park with numerous rides and slides, a leisurely lazy-river, and a large lagoon with a wave machine. Sun City is ideally placed next to the Pilanesberg National Park, and a main attraction of the resort is the convenient malaria-free safari. One of the largest in South Africa, the park is home to the 'Big Five' - the lion, elephant, rhino, cape buffalo and leopard - and offers game drives and tours on foot, hot air balloon or elephant back. Families with children visiting Sin City will also appreciate the Kamp Kwena Kids' Club, with its' activities such as mini-golf, go-karts, trampolines, Animal World and bird aviary. Nightlife and entertainment facilities in Sun City include cocktail and live music bars, gourmet restaurants, theatre and cinemas, even a wedding chapel. The resort is also home to an impressive concert venue, seating 6,000, and Sun City has seen the likes of Frank Sinatra, Queen and Elton John perform in recent years.
